The good old days of internet traffic

Ah I remember the good old days of internet traffic. Back in the 90’s people (pr packets) were a lot more trusting, a lot more helpful and friendly, you could see who was going where and what they were carrying if you looked hard enough.

But look at the world today, since the 2010’s and beyond the internet has become a lot more harsh. Gone are the days of trust, now everyone is just looking around suspiciously at everyone else, and keeping what they have hidden to themselves. The majority of traffic is super secretive. HTTPS this, VPN that, etc.
